"We must refocus the public's attention to the Democrat Party's stampede to socialism and we must make our socialist president's every legislative victory so costly that he will lose the war in 2010 and 2012."
The quote is compliments of Oregon RNC member Solomon Yue. Yue believes the Obama administration is a threat to our country and can not be underestimated.
I think the only threat to this country is the Republican Party and it's choir.
"They are proceeding pell-mell to nationalize major industries, to exponentially increase the size, power and intrusiveness of the federal government, to undermine free enterprise and free markets, to raise taxes to a confiscatory level."
Republicans are pissed....but then again that's the norm these days isn't it? They've hurled every imaginable piece of insult and falsehood at Obama and he just cooly brushes them off his shoulder like he did in Philadelphia.
Poor old Michael Steele didn't know what he got himself into taking the job as RNC chair. I still believe they elected Steele because he's black....just like Sarah Palin was chosen because she was a woman. It backfired big-time and I think the same will happen to Steele.
The RNC is rebelling against Michael Steele for failing to dub President Obama and the Democrats as "socialists." And the rebels insist that the label matters. Steele calls the Dems "collectivists" but that lacks punch
according to RNC members.
As we near President Obama's first 100 days in office, prepare yourselves for the 'taxes to much', 'spends to much', and 'borrows to much' talking points by those who will be given a platform to spew the same old tiresome bullshit.
The state RNC members have been petitioning Michael Steele for a meeting so they can have an open debate on three conservative resolutions:
First Resolution: Calls on the Democrats to be "truthful and honest with the American people by renaming themselves the Democrat Socialist Party."
Second Resolution: Urges Republican lawmakers to reject spending earmarks, which "corrupt the legislative process, wastefully expand government and are designed to help congressmen get re-elected."
The third resolution, whose chief sponsor is Oklahoma RNC member Carolyn McLarty, commends congressional Republicans who have "opposed bailouts and reckless spending bills and celebrates the unanimous opposition of Republican members of Congress to [Mr. Obama's] 10-year budget plan and the 'cap-and-trade' energy tax bill."
Steele nixed the idea but offered to sign a statement criticizing the stimulus package.
The RNC doesn't know whether to wind their butt or scratch their watch!
